Laquawanda Hawkins, 36, worked the drive-through at a Taco Bell in Hartsville where by police said she took images of customers’ payment cards, despite her manager becoming just a couple toes absent.

An “assistant supervisor positively identified Hawkins as the staff jogging the drive-through and committing the thefts,” Hartsville officers wrote in a report attained by McClatchy News. “She is so brazen and slick about it that she even does it although the manager is proper behind her stocking cabinets.”
Hawkins was arrested June 17 on a number of counts of identity fraud, credit score card number theft and acquiring products fraudulently acquired, in accordance to the law enforcement report. She denied sharing the numbers with any one else but reported it was possible her are living-in boyfriend observed the images on her cellphone.
Hawkins also acknowledged shopping for “some shoes” and new phone on line, though she denied purchasing “as a lot stuff as (the victims) claimed,” officers wrote.
When questioned if other Taco Bell workforce had stolen customers‘ credit score card info, Hawkins replied, “Probably.”
Taco Bell Corp. reported it’s mindful of the incident and can take “customer privacy severely.”
“The franchise owner and operator is doing work with the community authorities and has informed us that the team member is no longer with the organization,” a organization spokesperson explained to McClatchy News in a statement.
