Fiat (-37.2%) falls even faster than the market but hits 15% share vs. 14.3% so far this year. Volkswagen (-38.1%) is also in freefall but reclaims the 2nd spot it held over the Full Year 2021, dislodging Ford (-34.8%). Toyota (-11.6%) is very solid in context and climbs to the third spot of the podium while Audi (-25.4%) is up to a splendid 5th place. Dacia (-4.9%) posts the best result in the Top 10 at #7, way above sister brand Renault (-42.8%) down to a paltry #14. BMW (-17.8%) also resists whereas Peugeot (-51.7%), Citroen (-47.1%) and Jeep (-35.8%) implode. Further down, notice DR Motor (+97.7%) up to #19, Cupra (+193.5%) up to #22 and well above Seat (-63.4%) at #26, Honda (+61.5%), MG (+2520) and Lynk & Co up to #33.

Over in the models ranking, the Fiat Panda (-7.6%) resists very well to reach 9.7% share, its 2nd best in the past two years below only October 2021 (11%). The Ford Puma (-12%) hits an all-time record 2nd place in Italy this month, eclipsing its previous best of #3 hit in February 2021, January 2022 and February 2022. The VW T-Roc (-9.6%) reaches its best Italian ranking since May 2020 (#2) contrasting with a 19th place year-to-date. The Lancia Ypsilon (-46.8%) is relegated to 4th place albeit only 1 sale below the T-Roc. The Dacia Sandero (+5.6%) rounds out the Top 5 with the only year-on-year gain there and ranks #3 year-to-date. The Toyota Yaris Cross is back up 10 spots on March to #6, its second best ranking below the #5 it hit last December and January. It seems to have cannibalised the Yaris at -57.7% for the month. The Jeep Compass (+1.4%) is the only additional gainer in the Top 10 with the Fiat 500 (-63.7%), Jeep Renegade (-52.8%) and Fiat 500X (-52%) all in a rut. Notice also the Kia Sportage (+28.5%), Cupra Formentor (up to a record #25), the Toyota Aygo X landing directly at #27 for its very first month in market and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio (+31.9%) all posting fantastic scores.
