Man suffers seizure at traffic light, crashes into nine vehicles

MELAKA: Six folks were wounded in a highway crash involving 10 automobiles when a person of the drivers, who is an epileptic, experienced a seizure at the site visitors light-weight intersection at Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, Lebuh Ayer Keroh here on Friday (June 3).

Melaka Targeted traffic Enforcement Investigation Office (JSPT) head Supt Amran@Mohamad Zaki Omar stated the incident transpired about 9.15pm when all the victims, involving drivers and travellers in the affected vehicles, ended up at the Taman Chiptaco visitors mild intersection, which is in entrance of a grocery store.

“Original investigation unveiled that all the 10 motor vehicles had been waiting for the environmentally friendly light-weight, when a 38-calendar year-old person, who was at the wheel of a BMW, had a seizure leading to him to push the accelerator pedal and this caused the car to go at pace and crashed into the vehicles in entrance prior to it stopped.

“The guy then experienced a second seizure, triggering the BMW to crash into additional vehicles,” he stated when contacted right here on Saturday (June 4).

He said the 10 vehicles included in the crash, which includes the BMW, had been two Perodua Myvi, a Honda Jazz, a Perodua Kenari, a Perodua Viva, a Perodua Alza, a Toyota Corolla Altis, a Nissan Frontier, and a Proton Persona.
