Spirits are running high for the Early Ford V8 Foundation Museum (EFV8FM) and National Auto & Truck Museum (NATMUS) Great Race Youth Volunteer Program Grew Race teams at the 2022 Great Race. The NATMUS/EFV8FM teams arrived with their specially prepared 1941 and 1948 Fords in Warwick, Rhode Island, on Tuesday, June 14, ready to compete in their first Great Race.
The three-member X-CUP Team is represented by Jack Pontius, Gavin Swift and John Taller. They’ll be driving the 1941 Ford Sedan Deluxe they and other Youth Volunteers prepared for the Great Race at the NATMUS garage in Auburn, Indiana.
The second EFV8FM and NATMUS Great Race entry in the 2022 Great Race is a 1948 Ford Coupe. It will be competing in the Rookie Class. John McCullough and Connor Miller make up the two-person team. It too was prepared by the Youth Volunteers at the NATMUS in Auburn, Indiana.
The 2022 Great Race kicks off at the Rocky Point State Park in Warwick, R.I., on Saturday, June 18, and concludes at the Broadway Square in Fargo, N.D., on June 26.
