Good and Getting Better: The 1992 Corvette Got LT1 Power And Performance To Match – Is This Peak C4?

It’s weird how nostalgia works, right? You really start to kind of laser focus in on stuff that you never gave a lot of thought to in the moment. This video showing the 1992 Corvette rocking and rolling around a road course is perfect because in 1992 I could not have been bothered paying attention to a Corvette. Those were the things that took up space which could have been occupied by a Galaxie, a Chevelle, or a Challenger at a cruise night.

Now?

Now I see these C4s and think, “Damn, I really want to own one.” I think that these cars were peak C4. Yeah, the ZR-1 had all the power and the exotic engine and all but those were exotics in my eyes and in some ways still strike me as such. The LT1 powered car shown here is just so clean, nice, and well done, I cannot help but love it. Hell, the thing ran 13s from the factory which was insanity back in 1992 and it did so with a price tag that seemingly any normal working Joe could afford back then.

As we all know these cars are headed up in value. Owning one is still on my life of things to do. Why? So I can show the 12 year old me just how wrong I was to blow these cars off back in the day!
