CHICAGO — 9 cars ended up stolen from a auto dealership in the city’s Mayfair neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

All over 4:40 a.m., a team of offenders broke into the Luxury Auto Range on the 4500 block of North Elston Avenue and stole 9 vehicles, value about $1 million.

Detectives say they utilized an object to break the window of an overhead doorway to get inside of.

Officers had been on the scene speaking speaking with the operator, who did not want to converse with WGN about the incident.

The operator of the nearby Extremely Glow Motor vehicle Clean down the block stated this is not the initial time criminals have damaged into that dealership.

He said crooks also targeted his business enterprise and experimented with to steal an Audi and BMW inside of past September, but still left when they couldn’t obtain the keys. They also broke into a cab organization on Elston Avenue.

He mentioned there’s not much far more owners can do to protect against this from going on.

“Nothing,” the vehicle wash operator, who didn’t want to give his identify, explained. “It’s getting worse. They took nine cars and trucks from him. Unbelievable. It’s lousy. On March 8 in Evanston, a team of offenders stole 14 luxurious automobiles from the Autobarn Collection on Greenwood Avenue.
